Buy Cradle Swing

A swing that doesn't swing!
I did not buy this from Amazon. It was bought at babies r us, but like others, I wanted to warn people. My 10 week old daughter (who only weighs 12 pounds) loves the mirror above the seat, but the swing, no matter what setting you place it on, barely swings. This was a gift from family...several people went in on this big ticket item that has ended up being a really expensive seat. I'll call fisher price and see what I can do. I wish I had read the reviews.

Worst swing ever! Save your money!
This swing looked good to me because it had the option to swing the baby side to side or forwards and backwards. Unfortunately, this barely swings at all! I know it's not just mine either...the last time I went to Babies R Us, someone walked in front of my car carrying one in to return!

The swing has slowly started swinging slower and more wobbly over the past 2 months I've had it and it seems like my 13.5 lb baby makes it to heavy to function well. The butterflies don't rotate either.

I bought a Graco Plug-in Lovin' Hug for much less money and it's made better, seems sturdier and works a million times better with the added bonus of a vibration seat.

I wish I hadn't made the mistake of registering for this swing.

Where do I start? This is one of the more expensive models and is supposed to glide and swing. Well i'm on my second one and if it wasn;t for the fact that my daughter just loves it I would have thrown it out a while ago because of the frustration. I had to return the first one which was bought for us at out baby shower. The gliding function worked for two motions and then it would stop, the lights would flash and then the unit would turn off. I returned it and brought a new one home. Well this one worked for two weeks before the glide function stoped working again. The swing works but only if you can get the unit to turn on. The swing is now making a weird noise. I love the design and the functions on the glider but the only problem is that they dont work!!!!!. I just read they discontinued the product and I wonder why? They should have recalled the piece of junk. I am very disappointed with fisher price. Stay Away from this product as you can see most of the reviews are bad and those whose units still work must have gotten very lucky.

Overjoyed with this purchase!

This is my second purchase of this item. They were given as gifts, and the mothers just love it. Judging from the contentment of the infants, so do they. The ease of operation, which includes the foot control, adds to the appeal of the cradle/swing. The music is pleasant and soothing. I enjoyed giving this item as much as the recipients enjoyed receiving it. Wonderful product!

Love this swing!
It seems that this swing causes a great deal of polarity among reviewers! You either love it or hate it. I love it. I bought mine as a floor model and it works splendidly! But I also bought the protection plan since it WAS a floor model. I usually will get a protection plan for anything with moving parts/motors. I love that it moves 4 ways, gliding and swinging. This is especially helpful for me since my 2 month old has recently started to become bored with her bouncer and likes the diversity this swing affords.

I love that it uses batteries but also has an AC adapter, not every swing has that and I personally think they all should. Even the travel swings. The swing takes a little bit of room, but they all do, it's the nature of the beast. The hardest part about this swing is keeping my two year old off of it! Oh, he did get his chubby pointer finger pinched in the gliding base the other day because he wasn't listening and was putting things where they shouldn't go, so there is that "hazard" but it was nothing more than a slight pinch. He didn't cry, just a quick "Ow!" I used the experience as proof he shouldn't be messing with the swing since it has a defense system built in! LOL!
