Buy Cradle Swing

Love it!
My 2 month old son loves this swing! I love that it can go from room to room, it's easy to carry and when going on a trip doesn't take up too much room. I even put it on the dining table while I'm cooking dinner so he can be close to me! It was also very easy to put together... Over all, I'm glad that I bought it, and I'm glad that it's so lightweight and easy to move around!

An excellent product, overall!
THis swing has really been a life-saver for us. I started putting my son in this swing when he was 2 months old. At that time, the motion would calm him down most times. At 3 months, he started noticing the lighted mobile and the revolving fish on the mobile. The music goes off after the swing has run for some time. A really useful feature, since the baby is asleep by then.
This product requires 4 D type batteries. The batteries would last me an average of a month at a time. I was pretty happy about that. I would buy the duracell brand of batteries, since they last the longest on this swing.

Disadvantages:
(1) Requires a lot of floor space.
(2) The legs, if not placed right, cause the whole piece to swing from side-to-side along with the motion of the swing. It requires some trial and error to figure out the right position for the legs.

All in all, a very good product. I would highly recommend this product.

Not sure how long these are supposed to last?
I'm not sure how long these are supposed to last. They are not built well; at first i'm sure they are wonderful, but over time they stop working, the motor gets loud, it creaks, etc. I suppose if you are having one child - go for it! But, really, don't bother spending the money if you plan on using one swing through multiple pregnancies.

Best swing EVER!
I absolutely love this swing. The swing I had for my first child was awful. You had to wind it up and it would only swing for 15 minutes. The option to plug this swing in is wonderful! I never have to use the battery option at all. The music is a little loud I think even on the lowest setting but I guess that really doesn't matter. All in all it's great.

Barnyard Swing
This was a wonderful swing. My son has a genetic disorder and is extremely delayed. We bought this swing right after he was born in Nov. 2008. We still use it everyday for several hours, its the only thing that soothes him. We are about to get rid of it ONLY because he has reached the weight limit. When we first started using it the batteries would last several months, now we change them about once a month, I believe that changes as he has gotten heavier. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Very Poorly Made
I just received and assembled this item and I am extraordinary disappointed. It's poorly made, loud and the swing speed adjuster simply does not work. I should note that I'm not a novice to assembly: I've assembled at least half of my furniture and about a dozen baby gear items, so I have some experience and know that it won't always be easy. This, however, was the worst assembly experience I've had. First, whoever ran the wiring through the tubes so that power can move from the base (where the battery/power source is) to the motor did it wrong: the connector that should have been at the top of the tube was at the bottom and since the tube is bent in a certain way, the solution was not to simply turn over the tube. Instead, I had to take apart the wiring, switch the connections and put it back together. I should have returned it right then, but figured I could fix the error and save myself the hassle of the return process. Bad move. Next, when installing the seat, I needed to contort the plastic with a screwdriver and pliers to get it into place. Again, I should have returned it, but after switching the wiring, I felt I had too much invested to give up then. After dealing with a few other minor assembly snafus, it appeared the swing was ready to work. Plugged it an and turned the switch. Noticed instantly that the motor is loud. This, by itself, would not have prompted this bad review, but I want to note that you will never forget that this thing is running. The real problem I have with the operation is that the swing speed adjuster does not work, or if it does, the differences in speed cannot be detected by the human eye. This might not be a huge problem if it was stuck at a moderate speed, but that's not the case. The swing is moving so fast it could propel baby into orbit. Needless to say, I am thoroughly disgusted. The only reason this got two stars is because the swing actually does swing, which was something of a shock after all the trouble I had putting it together.

Sleep aide
This is a great swing and having no experience with any other kind of swing, I don't know how it compares to others. However, it was easy to assemble, soft interior, sturdy, and very important---it does the job. What a great thing this swing is, saves my back and arms from fatigue and our baby loves it!
